What do you lead? Another bread and butter problem

Yes, it's triple-poker.. lol.

Incidently, I'd lead a spade. Maybe the queen. All I need for the lead to be good is pard to have an honor (J or K), and that doesn't seem soooo difficult.

No, the triple 852 is just copying. Anyway, the pips are not really significant (having 743 instead of 852 does not change anything)

the low club seemed obvious, but only marlowe mentioned it.. that's what i'd lead, i can't see what's wrong with it

As I started writing " longest and strongest",
I discovered in time, spade is arguably stronger,
so I ommited the word "strongest" ....

What's wrong with the club is that there's a fair chance it's RHO's longest suit.
But anything could be right (although I wouldn't lead a diamond).

♣ without a doubt. If I ahve to elad an opponent's suit I prefer to lead the one I have 4 cards in. There isn't even a guarantee anyone else has 4 ♣s

I lead a club too. Pard probably has a 10 count (give or take) and couldn't find a call over 1♦. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he has 5 so-so clubs.

2nd choice is the A♠, which shouldn't give up anything material (except a tempo) and lets us continue intelligently.

LHO is probably something like 4=2=5=2
RHO is something like 3=4=3=3

Their heart finesses will work.
Pard has some HCP as well.

I'd lead a low club as that is probably their weakest suit.

RHO could have 5 hearts.
LHO may have only 4 diamonds, and 3 Clubs.

I would not lead a spade because we need entries to establish clubs.

Attack or passive?

If they have diamond length, passive may give them time to set them up.
