I am a Teacher (ABTA, etc) and I think I can open a Chat room and have students join for an on line lesson. Has any one tried this and if so how does it work? Please reply to this forum posting or send me an email: davidmlevy@comcast.net. Thanks David

I don't really teach bridge, but I have sometimes opened a chat room after a tournament to discuss the hands with some friends, or we discuss some gadgets in a chatroom. This works quite well, as long as everybody is interested (if not, it usually is a disaster). To post the hands in the folowing way: I open "myhands" and save the hands one-by-one to my desktop. Then I open and send the hands to the chatroom. I don't know if this is the easiest way, but it works fine for me. It is also nice that the hands stay in the window, so that you can easily resend the hand when the chat scrolls down.

Quick Tip: once everybody has arrived, make the room invisible so that you don't have to deal with all the people who want to enter.

Are you aware there is also the ‘teaching table’ available to anyone that allows you to upload deals and have students bid and play or you can play some or all positions yourself and commentate.
