what is the difference in this auctions:

3♣

and

1♣-1♦
2♣


second, should 18-19 3-2-5-3 hand be opened 1♣ or 1♦?

Hi all,
1♣-1♦-2♣ is non-forcing, about 15-20.
1♣-1♦-3♣ is stronger, and promises a long good suit, but is still not forcing.
1♣-1♦-2♦ is the artificial GF, which can include the long club hand.

All 18+ HCP hands open 1♣, which includes 5♦-(332) 18-19.
