I believe that Ben is busy so I'll respond before these misconceptions get out of hand.


MisIry does not use fractions of losers. This hand has 4 losers, simple as that. The auction would go:

2NT-(perhaps a double which has no effect at all)-3C
3H-4H

3H shows 5-5 in the majors and exactly 4 losers. Responder has an easy 4H call. The only disadvantage that I can think of is that the opponents will be so impressed with the auction that they are unlikely to double :).
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

I obviously don't know LTC because I wouldnt count that as 4.5 losers :)

Justin is right.. MisIry will prevent playing 1♠... And Hannie was right, I was busy, and his auction is right on. I suspect if they were careful they would not double 4♥ after this auction.
