Encountered this: we opened 1 opps overcalled 3 natural 6+ 11-15
We did not fair well and couldn't figure out what bids and double should mean (especially without discussion). Any suggestions? Mega-agreements?
Opps missed their heart fit so I don't think this a great method. Any opinions?

X - neg., showing some values, if opener wants, he can pass.
new suit forcing to game.

We play 2C as natural, 5+ (most of the time 6+) and 10+HCP.
It does come up, although I am not a big fan.
In short I dont think, it is a great idea to show this hand at
the 3 level.
With kind regards

Absolutely - simple and common sense.

This is fairly common over a short club AFAIK, along with 2D = 5+5+ MM (Michaels).

Yes, we play this.
Usually we play the cue of a natural opened suit as Michaels, the exception being a natural 1C (showing 2+/3+/4+).
In this case the jump to 2D is Michaels, ... I dont like exceptions, that is all, but since partner wants to play
that way ...

I avoid this with as many partners as possible because it's not only an exception but futile too: it's more than likely that the opening clubs are 4+ and so we either wasted a weak jump in diamonds or took a silly risk in clubs.
