Here's how to do that:
First under the heading Play or Watch Bridge, you can click on Help me find a game and next Take me to the first seat available. You'll be whisked off to the first seat we find and be ready to play in seconds.
Another way to find a pickup game quickly is to click on the line List all tables, and at the next menu, click on one of the top two clubs: the Main Bridge Club or the Relaxed Bridge Club. Now you can quickly scan the tables with an empty seat, click the More button at any table to find the type of scoring available and any conditions. Conditions can include: Permission required to play; players with profiles only; beginners only; experts only; or any number of other special conditions at that table. When you find a table with an empty seat that looks interesting, click on the Sit button and play will start. You should also take note of the Refresh button at the top of the list of tables. Clicking that gives you a real time look at how the table configuration has changed and what new seats have become available.
If you continually get an error message when trying to sit in an empty chair, that means someone else has also seen that empty chair and has claimed it before you. You should get into the habit of clicking the "Refresh" button often which will update for you the current status of the tables and the empty seats. The refresh button on the far right of the horizontal row of buttons located above the table listing: Open Tables; Full Tables; Friends; Refresh.
If you have a partner with whom you want to play, be sure and add partner's name on one of the lines on the 'setting a table' screen. If you don't do that, anyone looking for a fast seat, can (and usually will), sit in the seat before your partner has a chance to claim it.
And finally, you can start your own pickup game. Under the heading Play or Watch Bridge click the Start Table link, and decide on your scoring preference. The next menu provides you with the tools you need to make decisions regarding seat reservations, privacy options, and a table description. Finally, you decide in which room to open your table. Start table - competitive game will open your table in the Main Bridge Club. Start table - relaxed game will open your table in the Relaxed Bridge Club. Now your table will start and fill up with people who have clicked Take me to the first seat available.
