If you play in one of the games that has an entry fee those games will always award BridgeBase Masterpoints. This includes all the organizations, plus the Money Bridge tournaments and the Robot Race games. But these do not award ACBL Masterpoints. Those, ACBL Masterpoints, are awarded only for winning or placing high in the sanctioned ACBL games held here on BridgeBase.
You have probably seen numbers or suit designations on the profile of players you meet here on BridgeBase. Those numbers represent the cards in a deck beginning at the number two and going up through the deck until the Ace is reached.
Winning one Masterpoints earns a player the 2 designation, 5 points the 3, 20 points the 4 and so on up through the Jack, Queen, and King to the top designation of the Ace. There is only one Ace on BridgeBase -- that player having won the most BridgeBase points.
The rank designations are:
= Leader in the historical table of most MPs won
= 2nd - 10th in the historical table of most MPs won
= 11th - 50th in the historical table of most MPs won
= 51st - 100th in the historical table of most MPs won
= 1000+MPs
= 500+MPs
= 300+MPs
= 200+MPs
= 100+MPs
= 50+MPs
= 20+MPs
= 5+MPs
= 1+MPs

Although the ACBL sanctioned events award ACBL Masterpoints (in addition to BridgeBase points) and although we report the points won by our players to the ACBL each month, we must have your ACBL number to accurately report them.
You can give us your ACBL number (or make sure it's correct) by clicking on ACBL World and choosing Update your ACBL number.
