Don't know if many people use Power Doubles here, but I have a question: what's the best way to respond to these strong Doubles? Suppose you play them 15+HCP, do you use a negative response, some semipositives, transfers of some kind, cuebids for GF, or what?? And how does the doubler respond?

Tnx.

One interesting option is to use the same style Fantoni-Nunes use over their 1x openings.

Over 1:
1, 1 as 0-8 transfers (4+cards)
1 as 0-8 without a 4 card major
1N as 9+ balanced GF
2c, 2d, 2h, 2s as 9+ GF unbalanced

Over 1:
1, 1 = 0-8 4+ cards
1NT = 0-8 not a 4 card major
2x = 9+ GF unbal with the cuebid being 9+ balanced GF

Over 1:
1 = 0-8 4+ spades
1N = 0-8 not 4sp doubler can now bid 2 as a gazilli-like bid
2x = 9+ GF unabal with the cuebid being 9+ balanced GF

Same over 1

I care about the friends I have made on BBO. Also, I am extremely concerned about the environment/ ecology/ wildlife/ the little planet that we call Earth. How much more of the world's habitat and food supply for animals do we plan on destroying. How many more wetlands are we going to drain, fill, and build on? How many more sand dunes are we going to knock down in the interests of high-rise hotels or luxury homes?

FWIW

Dan_Neill and Jeff Goldsmith both have write-ups of "The Overcall System" (Fouts) that includes Power Doubles and responses, and I believe that Jeff Goldsmith has some additional notes.
Hope this is helpful.

I use power doubles - but I don't have the fancified transfer structure. I just keep it simple.

2c is either natural or 19+ in this sequence (power doubles) responder will bid 2 with a game forcing hand 6-8 HCP or natural with 0-5. Over 2 6-8 doubler cuebids with a natural 15-18 hand with clubs or bids natural with 19+, a Gf situation has been stablished.

Would you mind explaining your 'simple' version of responses?

I bid quite natural.
