3NT or 4M?

Playing robot bridge, I often reach what seems like a completely normal 4H or 4S contract and make it, only to learn that others have beaten me in NT. What's a good guideline for determining when to play 3NT even though you have an 8-card major fit?

Read Matchpoints by Kit Woolsey it tells all you would want.
Not sure how you get Gib to read it and use it? :)

Do you ever see perfectly normal 4/4 contracts make and 3NT only make 3 or go down?
