GIBBO feels remorse

The d suit was not good enough to bid at 2-level but good at the 3 level 'cos club suit was sketchy and blurb promised c stopper.
Potential 3NT missed Vulnerable and further, 4 undertricks also vulnerable. $5 or so @0.5 cents a point

My personal view. I would have passed 1NT by GIB. Your hand might be 14 count, but its a pretty pathetic 14 count with its lack of intermediates and shape. Except if you get a lucky break with s 3-3 and the Q on a finesse, it's going to be a struggle to get 3NT to make, and as GIB only guarantees a minimum of 9+ I rather play the odds and miss a vulnerable game now and again.

true. style matter perhaps? also, most HCP are marked on my right.
My issue is the bidding.

Agree. However my concern is the 3D bid.
The 2NT. Risky behavior - yes. GIBBO does wonders in play when most HCP are marked.
