Just a regular squeeze-endplay (strip squeeze) on East? Either he gives up his club or gets endplayed with the bare HA to lead from CQ.

Looks like a pretty standard trump squeeze on East. Lead a trump and discard ♣7 from dummy. If East pitches a club, ♣AK sets up the jack. If East pitches a heart, a heart is ducked, and a heart ruff sets up the king and you have a club entry to cash the heart.
Any reason to play this way and not just lead up to the ♥K?

I agree with both ahydra and johnu that it's either a strip squeeze, or a trump squeeze depending on how you play.

The trump squeeze works with fewer high-cards but requires more play

Yes, at the table East had over called 1NT,
and I think was marked with 7+hcp at this point.

Agree with Ahydra: simple squeeze strip.
Cash 2 ♠s, throwing 2 ♥s
If RHO discards ♥A, then cash ♥K.
If RHO discards a ♣, then cash 3 ♣s.
Otherwise play a ♥ to end-play RHO.
