To some extent, bidding agreements can impact what you do with this hand. I would expect those who play Drury to open 1 ♥ a great deal of the time because you have a mechanism to stop at low level in a ♥ fit. If you don't play Drury, the hand becomes more problematic.

opening light in 3rd seat is mandatory in modern bridge. Obviously, Drury is a MUST facing a M opening bid. Also, you have to be able to pass ANY response by partner.
Here i would open 1♥ because i have 3 spades and can pass a 1sp response. If only 2sp, then i wad consider 2♥.
