I would double and (spoiler alert) suspect this could be a lead problem against 3 smashed by partner.

For most players, double then bidding shows a stronger hand. Hence you should probably overcall 1, then double opener's 2 rebid (As Diana_Eva did). When partner bids 2 and opener raises himself to 3, pass seems sensible, although you might be tempted to double again

MP the risk factor is ONE board not the entire match. That leaves many options on the table that might normally be ignored. Hard to let the opps play 2c at MP. I would overcall and then x over 2c with the intention of pulling a 2d bid by p 2h. This should allow them to picture your hand almost perfectly since you failed to use Michaels the first round. If rho bids 3c over (partner's inevitable) 2d I think pass is a reasonable choice given that we might already be better off than we were at 2c.
