Possible but the Greek "austerity" measures convinced a lot of people that staying would result in assimilation and loss of national heritage. Are you British or are you European? It all comes down to that innate sense of identity. Many will pay the price for national pride but for a bunch of bureaucrats in Brussels? Unlikely. I expect the PIGS to follow, especially after Britain survives the exercise and comes away with more positives than negatives.
