The weak 2H could be undisciplined at favourable. Your go.

DOUBLE
"definitely that's what I like to play when I'm playing standard - I want to be able to bid diamonds because bidding good suits is important in bridge" - Meckstroth's opinion on weak 2 diamond

I will double and over partner's:
4: rebid 5 showing fit, control, and an escape at 5
4N: I will rebid 5N asking partner for their better minor - I expect 2-1-5-5 and hope for xx x Axxxx Qxxxx
5: rebid 5. 5 is too rich here.
5: Pass - if partner's are really 2 cards longer than (no 4N bid) and 3 or fewer s, I fear we will not benefit from shape advantages.
5: Partner had a strong pass! 7 for me.
5: 6 exploring 7
6, 6: Raise to 7.
Be the partner you want to play with.
Trust demands integrity, balance and collaboration.

6.This hand is too good, I will gamble because as little as 3 small s & 2 black Qs/ 1 black Q with length may lead it to LS.

I rank
  • Double = T/O. And pass 4.
  • 5 = NAT. Should be playable.
  • 4N = UNT?
  • 5 = CUE. Brave.
  • 6 = NAT. Brave and committal.

A simulation suggests that Double is likely to be the winning action. 4S is more likely to make than 6D, although both are odds on. If partner has xxxx xxx xx xxxx then double rates to gain IMPs.

I usually don't believe at coincidences and simmetry points as here (20 Hcp in an hand can be read also if distributed) and probably opp can have less few. What's happen for 5 ?
