(1NT)-2-(p)-2
(p)-p--(3)-p
3NT-a.p

You hold long clubs and forgot the Landy convention. Partner alerts which is obviously UI. So far you are not allowed to wake up.

Suppose that you know that LHO can't have a trap pass of clubs (because they play penalty doubles). LHO's artificial game forcing 3 bid (after having passed over your 2 bid) suggests that LHO had been told something to the effect that your 2 bid was unlikely to passed so that she could pass relatively safely. Also, that she chose 3 instead of 3 (opener explained 3 as a "general force") suggests that she doesn't consider clubs to be your suit.

Are you allowed to wake up now?

You hold Jx-Jxxx-xx-AJTxx. The question is if you can ethically lead a club now. Obviously, if you have shown clubs and partner has shown her own heart suit, a heart lead is (mildly put) an LA.

Unless I've misunderstood some of this, might you not have been raising to 3H?

Yes. It may be questionable because of the weakness of the hand but it is probably an LA anyway.

Partner isn't going to be very happy when you fail to lead his heart suit and it turns out that hearts are 5-4-2-2 with declarer having KX opposite XX. (And why didn't you double 3NT when partner shows values for a free bid after your 2 overcall?)

This is probably going to come down (even if we omit the failure to raise to 3) to the fact that the AI doesn't fully replace the UI. So I think a non-heart lead is demonstrably suggested by the UI.

So a sadistic knowledgeable TD is going to either.

1) Change the contract to 3X -n (if you raise the hearts) AND/ OR
2) Change the contract to 3NTX +n on a heart lead. (assuming the pass is caused by UI)
No matter how well you know the laws, there is always something that you'll forget. That is why we have a book.
Get the facts. No matter what people say, get the facts from both sides BEFORE you make a ruling or leave the table.
Remember - just because a TD is called for one possible infraction, it does not mean that there are no others.
In a judgement case - always refer to other TDs and discuss the situation until they agree your decision is correct.
The hardest rulings are inevitably as a result of failure of being called at the correct time. ALWAYS penalize both sides if this happens.
