This hand is from Arena Challenge.

4 says " 5+,4+,6-32hcp,7+TPs".
5 also says "... 6-32hcp...".

6-32hcp? Too wide range, actually it is impossible.

I suggest to take "32" as a joke but on the whole I agree. Since 3 is already forcing and showing diamonds (at least that's how I play it), 4 should be a very specific bid. Apparently it means "I don't want to play NT and I'm not sure if we can make 5" and if that's the case it should be labeled accordingly. It is similar to what I posted a few days ago: It should become clear from a label if a bid is "to play" or "forcing" because it cannot be both (and if it is "to play" partner should not raise with a minimum hand). The programming part of this is of course very complex in high level bidding.

By the way the 5 label can be explained because it shows keycards and takes the shape and range from the previous bid. I agree with you there's a contradiction because if the player has only one keycard he can't have 32 HPC ;) .

Although the explanation is wrong, 5D was a blackwood response.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
