Probably low priority, but maybe there should be some bids defined to deal with some 3rd seat favorable psyches:

Sure this tactic is available to all the humans in a robot tournament, but it's a bit unsporting IMO, esp since psyching strong artificial bids is often banned in human tourneys. Interestingly the balance 2H = 4+H 23+ pts maybe on the right track of how these things should be defined, maybe after 2c-p-2d-p-p, the balancing bids should be as if 4th hand had opened 2c :). If south rebids suit, 2nd round overcall should be strong.

It is known that now Gibs have no ability to play against psychics.

I guess that's one reason why the ACBL Masterpoint tournaments are all human best hand.

I think that Stephen is well aware of this. His post was more wish list than lament of current state.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Never.
I wouldn't believe Stephen Tu would think so.

For the purpose of this Gib game regulation, psychics or others non-Gib bidding system don't apply currently.

And I would tell you that psychics, especially opening 2 should be prohibited.
So I think the " OP " is meaningless since it is a kind of foul.

LOL, what do you expect the robots to do? Cancel the hand?

Facing to such foul, I don't know how to deal with it. This is a BBO's thing which needs Jodnn to resolve this kind of issues. Ok?Posted Image

The most useful thing would be for the robots to simply deal with the psych in a sensible way - evaluate their hand and trust their partner. You know, the same way people deal with it in real life. There's no need to do something silly like banning them.

Not a priority. And impossibly hard to fix. Anyway I don't actually think it's a major issue since GIB deals with this about as well as 90% of human players on earth would. Try blatantly psyching against the next little old lady you sit against at the club and watch what happens.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
