I think that they only claimed to have fixed this for leading at trick 1 v a grand.

Yes.
There was nothing done to force GIB to cash out vs small slam as far as I know, and even if jdonn or a programmer comes post saying that something will be fixed, nothing will show on BBO until a new GIB version is released.
