South's double is supposed to have heart length, so IMO it's clear for North to bid any 4+ major ahead of 2nt. 2nt should be something like 3-S, 3-H, 3-C, 4+D.

2NT says " 2-6,2-6,2-5,2-5,8-TPs,likely stop in ".
I think it is impossible for north Gib to hold 6-card /, its definition is very worse.

Now let me do an experiment.

If really holds 6-card , what will it happen?

Even if really holds 5-card

It could quite reasonably have 6 clubs if deemed too weak for 3 directly over 2 when it passes, though it should bid 3c not 2nt after the double. I'm probably not bidding 3 on say 3 HCP and 6 clubs for example.

The main thing is that 2nt should deny 4 cd major or 5 cd clubs. I imagine deny 6 D is right too. 5 diamonds ... maybe with very poor spots and some stuff outside it might simulate that 2nt is better than passing the double so it should probably be permissible but rare.
