Suspend, if you will, the argument on the merit of the takeout double.

However, what can the reason possibly be for bidding 3S instead of 3H?
This is sheer lunacy!

Maybe there is a potantial bug, the Gib programmers would know its reason.
However I replayed it, I can't see it again.

Result : 3W+3 170

I suggest you cross out the words "Maybe" and "potential".

You replayed it on your local program copy from gibware?
It's a different software than played on BBO -- that's why.

I think Lycier plays his hands on BBO using basic GIB, so his auctions are sometimes different than the auctions that Advanced GIBs create in tournaments. Hopefully, he will confirm this.

But where on BBO site can you specify an arbitrary deal, and tell Gib to play it out?
Is there such a function?

I reported it to the programmer. Thanks.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Yes, opening a teaching table, we can do as we like.
There are many perfect and strong functions on web-BBO.
