Strange double, strange upgrading.

This hand is from " Start a video bridge game (free)" in Solitaire.


After 2, Gib W suddently makes a strange double only with 14 TPs in the minimum 5431 hand, I think Gib W really has no ability to do any thing except passing. I believe all human players would pass in this situation.
And what's more, claiming it has exact 18TPs ! I am wondering how to upgrade to 18TPs. So it should mislead Gib E's double.

Yes lycier, I, too, find it totally bizarre. I surmise, maybe GIB has a mechanism for not allowing a contract to rest in 2 in a competitive auction at equal vulnerability if it has a certain shape. (What else can it be?)

End result: opponents end up in a doubled unbeatable game with two overtricks (as played). Yes, totally bizarre :(

At least we have to give GIB N credit for pulling the double to 4S.
