Sorry for upside down diagram. South is dummy, you're West.

Partner leads ♦8, dummy plays the 2, you win the Ace and declarer follows with the Queen. What next?

If you cash the ♣A, declarer plays the 2; what do you do when partner plays (standard attitude):

a) the C5
b) the C7
c) the CJ

I'm laying ♣ A on the table at trick 2 and trying to decipher partner's card. The ♦ Q could be a stiff in which case it may be imperative to get our ♣ tricks in before Declarer gets a pitch on the ♦. If partner discourages, I'll return ♦ 3 at trick 3.
