I'm suspecting partner had x, AKxxx Qxxx, xxx... and 3♠ went off on a foul split with 4♥ cold. 3♠ seems fairly obvious. Also depends if I know my opponents, against me partner could easily have a stiff spade and 4 trump tricks so X becomes more attractive.

- Double = T/O. More landing places.

Personally I find this interesting and close. I would X but not sure it's right

As well as not burying the Heart suit it also protects the position where partner has a penalty X of Clubs (or penalty pass of t/o X of Clubs, which is effectively the same thing but with a weaker lower strength limit). It is not inconceivable that Diamonds may be the right spot.
