TD was never called.

I would have called the TD. Obviously you felt there was a problem.

Fair enough. I was imagining him walking away slowly with a blank look. Maybe I'm not used to what TD's have to face on a daily basis.

I must play in the most reasonable clubs and tournaments in the world. In my experience, 95% of director calls are for routine irregularities: call/play out of turn, revokes, insufficient bids. Occasionally you get called about contested claims or misinformation.

I can't recall the last time I experienced a call about tempo or other unusual UI situations. These kinds of things don't come up on a daily basis, which is probably why the lawmakers haven't bothered to make the laws clearer. They're also complicated, which makes writing good laws to address them difficult, but makes the forum discussions about them interesting.

Any idea why that is?

I gather your country is Spain, and if so I would quite enjoy playing there.
