Wow that sounds WAY more exciting than bridge!

I would perhaps like to play sometime, but the game time is a bit opaque to me. It would be nice if it could be expressed in GMT -- that way everyone will know what time it is in their time zone.

It's 7PM GMT. I can't make any commitments myself since I'm playing in a congress tomorrow afternoon and don't know how I'm going to get home!

If the 8 PM CET were correct, then it would indeed be 7 PM UTC. However, it is actually at 8 PM CEST, 7 PM CET, 6 PM UTC, and, most pertinently to people like Vampyr who think they are on GMT but aren't, 7 PM BST.

Ummm...I think I am on GMT? LOLOL

In every country I have lived in (and many I have visited) I may not know exactly what time it is in other parts of the world, but I do know my relationship to GMT. And this is something that everyone knows, even if they know nothing else about their time zone, which is why it would be convenient if the time in GMT/UTC is given.

Haha. Just a local tourney. Generally more low key than regionals but not as social as NABCs since nearly everyone travels to those.

Come on, really need a team today if anyone is around and willing. I can't play, Easter here on Sunday and I've got eggs to hide, things to cook.

Lost by 78-72. We (nullve&gwnn) missed two slams unfortunately and JEC had a nice 27-0 streak that not even diana's funny psyche (inducing a misunderstanding about S's pass) on board 28 couldn't fully counterbalance. :)

Many amusing boards in this set.
Bd 5 (5Dx-2 vs 5H=) we win 8 IMPs, which cd have been more had I paid attention to the play (this could have been only -1 on the table defense):

Bd 9 we get to play our 3-3 fit vul vs white. Notice the lovely spots in trump:

Bd 11 I go into mastermind mode, feel happy that I managed to get doubled, and fall back to earth when we're still minus IMPs bec slam is on:

Bd 25 a questionable double takes us too high:

Bd 27 catch up slam, win 11 IMPs back:

The final touch, bd 28 psych for another 11 IMPs our way.
Oh, and Gerardo made all his 3NT contracts while the other table went down in 2 of those.
