The hand where Lycier's West bid differently than all the others was not in a tournament; it was in the Main Bridge Club, or another club. GIBs will always behave the same under identical circumstances within a tournament, but there are variables in a non-tournament environment or across different tournaments.

In the main bridge room where people rent robots, some rent basic GIBs and some rent advanced GIBs. Basic and Advanced GIBs can bid and play differently.
