Playing time : today
Location : MBC
Gibs : basic
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now you would see my 3NT says " 4-5, 4-,14-21hcp,likely stop in ", then north Gib , of course, will make quantitive to invite slam.
Actually, its basic definition is wrong, obviously it should be 12+hcp without slammish instead of 14+hcp.
However, surprisely I found similar bid at below :

2-

Note here my 3NT says " 4-5, 5-,14-21hcp, partial stop in ". And then north Gib doesn't make quantitive again.
How many are there between " " 4-5, 4-,14-21hcp,likely stop in " and " 4-5, 5-,14-21hcp, partial stop in " ?
Same hcp, different next auction.
Of course, it never occur occasionally, I have many hand records data.

Obviously there is no definition on south 3NT.

Note that 4 says " 3+,2-3,4+, 18+hcp,18-TPs ".
If really holds 18+hcp, might it become 18-TPs?

This just looks like it should be a 2NT rebid to me. Presumably in the first case it considers that you are showing extra by bidding FSF and then 3NT rather than bidding 3NT directly.

Agree it's probably worth 2nt only, but FSF followed by 3nt shouldn't show more than 3nt directly. Perhaps one has say 13 HCP with 5 card hearts and wants to find 4H instead of 3nt. Definitely 3nt should have some sort of upper limit though.

Well and good.
Now let's see Gibs sequences in this hand .

So here I have to say most of players including Gibs chose 2 for forcing to game.

Now I add J and J into south hand.

1- Gibs sequence:

2-

Same as the hands of the "OP".

Fair comments, I agree.

I also think 3N by OP (and the several auctions just like his that take up space above) should deny four spades. Certainly, 3N directly over 1 should not include the possibility of five spades. (I think the direct 3N should also deny five hearts, but that's probably just me being old-fashioned.)
