5cM, weak NT context, spots approximate

This being a L2 event, we weren't playing transfers over 1C like normal. 1NT = 15-17, you have 2C checkback available over which partner will bid 2S (showing 4=2 in the majors, minimum), and then any further bid is F1. 3H direct would be a slam try in hearts.

What's your plan on this hand?

Spoiler

Thanks,

That's about a stupid question. Let me re-phrase it, if I understand things:

Question:

"You have two ways to show hearts. First, you can make a call that does not show slam interest. Second, you can bid 3 as a slam try. Which is the best option as a slam try?"

This is sort of like:

"You have two cars. One has gas and tires. The other one is empty, on blocks. Which is best to drive in?"

Or,

"One man is dead. The other is alive. Which one is more fun?"

Actually, that last one might be tricky.

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

After check back and a 2 bid 3 must surely be forcing and a slam try.

Not easy to reach slam after that with a distinct lack of cuebids available to opener but playing 3 directly as a slam try after 1nt is a bad idea for pre empting yourself and making the auction above mean something weird.

It might be exploring to see what's better between 4H and 3N.

This is a simple question in fact, if opener's rebid-1nt is 15-17hcp, responder would better jump 5 directly to make trumph quality ask ,it would be very easy to probe for potential slam.

I have no way to understand what you said, the most important is you wanna know whether opener has top cards support, so no doubt, the best solution is willingness to rebid 5 for slam invitition, what else?
