Since I converted to Windows 10 I get disconnected fro no apparent reason from BBO after about 8-10 minutes. Any suggestions how overcome this.

I switched to Windows 10 about 3 months ago. I use Firefox as my browser.
I get cut off about 1 out of every 3 (one hour) tournaments.

I currently have Windows 8.1 (with IE) and keep getting invited to upgrade to Windows 10 (free for a limited time). I have been waiting for any bugs to be ironed out before I even think of doing so, as I have read some things that I would not be happy about in Windows 10 anyway. As I play Bingos and other races getting disconnected would be a real pain. I would be interested to know how many other players, especially running IE are having problems with BBO in Windows 10? And what if anything the BBO software guys can and will be doing about it and when? Thanks.

Windows 10 comes with an entirely new browser to replace IE. You can still install IE separately if you insist.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

Thanks, but the question still remains...are any other people having problems with BBO in Windows 10 using IE/Edge/whatever browser?

I use windows 10 on three different machines with no problems, I don't use EDGE however, I am sticking with normal internet explorer... because Norton says something about not working right with edge

Thanks - I just renewed my Norton for a year! (For anyone who is interested I paid £22 for Deluxe 5 devices version - not the £49.99 that my online reminder wanted and they came down to somewhat less on the day it expired or the next day, but Amazon was still cheapest by far).

I have had no problems and am glad I upgraded. I usually use Chrome but have used Edge. I would like Edge very much were it not for the annoying feature that a single-click does not select the address bar, so that has led me to largely go back to Chrome.

Control+L, or Alt+D, or F4, select the address bar. Would those entice you back?

I tried using BBO with edge. Every now and then for no apparent reason edge decides to change the screen magnification. (I am careful never to allow more than one finger near any active surface.) Whenever edge decides to shrink the screen, BBO seizes the opportunity to use the newly available screen space. If I restore the previous magnification, BBO does not go back to the original configuration, but assumes I can scroll around to find the place I need to be.

When the screen is to small to read, I have three choices: I can annoy the other players who have to wait while I struggle to read the screen and often mismouse, or I can annoy the other players while I scroll around the screen (this also triggers much more frequent resizings) or I can annoy the other players by unilaterally logging off.

In the longer run, OKbridge is a fourth alternative.

No, they sound like a poor substitute for a single click.

Yes, this happens to me too, but CTRL-0 always restores the original sizing and layout.
