I bid 2S because, while I am not quite strong enough to underwrite game with confidence, the alternatives seem less appealing.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

2. With GIB's system, you really should use 4th suit forcing with most 14+ total point hands IMO.

Yup. That's what I thought. GIB bid 2N.

So GIB evaluates it as less than GF. That is not unreasonable. It would not be unreasonable for 2S not to be GF systemically but my understanding is that it is, again reasonable, and you cannot change the system mid hand for your convenience. I expressed reservations about committing to game when posting my choice.

BUT. If you evaluate as less than GF I think that 3D rather stands out, so 2N would be a definite 3rd choice preference.

If we are playing Human Best Hand, then 3D is probably enough. In any other form of the game, I would push slightly with 2S.

Under any circumstances if I bid 2S, I see no sensible alternative to 3D over 2NT.

I take it that you do realise that if we are playing Human Best Hand then it is your partner who is the human?

Haha, Iandayre failed the Turing test.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket
