A recurring nuisance is that GIBs sit at my table when I am host when players leave but the GIBs don't bid. Presumably this is because I won't rent them. But I wish there was a way to boot them.

Thx .. neilkaz ..

I don't have an alternative explanation, but I seriously doubt that your presumption is valid.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"Gentlemen, when the barrage lifts." 9th battalion, King's own Yorkshire light infantry,
2000 years earlier: "morituri te salutant"

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

If you are using the web version of BBO you can boot the robots.

On the older version of BBO you just have to wait for the hand to be over and then the robots will disappear. But I've noticed too that sometimes the robot gets stuck and the only way I've found to get them unstuck is to remove one of the humans at the table instead. Unfortunately there's no way for a yellow to boot the robots. I think this is a bug, but we don't know exactly what causes it (which makes it hard to fix)

Playing Bridge Bingo, I had my LH Robot stick with 9 minutes to go. It never bid and time finally ran out. The notion of booting a robot that is a required part of the game is novel but not very useful I'm afraid.

I once found a robot stuck in a tourney when I returned after a break. I made my bid and the GIB did not wake up. Logging out did not help.

Type "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" to the table. That is bound to make the robot speed up!
