BB on BBO Lack of commentators

Yesterday (9th October) I came home after work only to find there was no written commentary in the closed room of the semifinal (3rd segment). This self-assigning method of BBO does not seem to work perfectly. I saw several commentators in the open room, maybe a couple of them could have been spared. Is there not a coordinator taking care of this? Roland Wald used to do a magnificent job arranging commentators.
