Too good for 3C at these colours, and I prefer my suit to be solid for 3NT, so 1C is all that's left. At least the bidding will be easy - I just keep rebidding clubs until partner gets bored.

Finally a reasonable suit to preempt with. If p cannot bid over 3c we will almost assuredly be fine and our preempt can now work against the opps. If p bids 3s we can show the potential of our clubs by then bidding 3n and if they bid 3h/d (I think Qx as good a xxx) I like being able to bid 3s as a splinter and support.
Really dislike opening these hands 1 level with their almost complete lack of defense.
