playing with a robot, you know that you have the best hand at the table (although it's likely from the bidding as well):

p-p-1-p
p-x-p-??
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Pd is coming from pass but GIB does this a lot with all 11 hcps. And all my values are prime. I will follow with 2 NT if pd bids 2

1?

Might have to click on the GIB explanation box for a passed hand double. But in principle, I don't think it's right to ask a robot it's opinion here.

2. Because I personally am willing to balance lightly I am loathe to punish partner by promoting the hand to the cue bid. Because I think there is a probable game I see no advantage in bidding less. But I only use robots as a tool to advance my normal bridge, and have limited direct knowledge of the GIB bots.

On different days, under the stated conditions, any of Pass, 1S, 1N, 2D, 2S and 2N might be the winning action, the first three options unilaterally cutting partner out of the consultation. In real life I would not entertain pass in a million years, but here?? Main problem is that I don't fancy leading. Maybe a low Diamond is safe-ish. Don't think that I would find Pass even in a robot tournament - just trying to guess the purpose of the thread.

Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

I would bid 2D then 2S over 2H.

1. I like plus scores. Pard is a passed hand. He would need a 4 spades and a max pass for 4 to be 50/50.
