Should 3N show a balanced hand, or any hand in that strength range without a 5card major? If it should be balanced, shouldn't North remove the contract to spades?

It is a common old issue actually,you shuold know that in fact limited to current bidding system,Gibs are unable to dealt well with some special hands,for example:after unusual bidding or descripsive rebidding while holding umcommon hands with abnormal distribution etc.so Gibs need to be improved in these situations for sure.
