MP Instant

It is not news that GIB copes poorly with high level acts of judgement. Support for partner and shortage in opponents' trumps will not deter it from a penalty double based on total points.

I will continue to post the occasional illustration - more examples will hopefully help to address the problems.

As this was an Instant tournament, in cases like this I like to see how the previous version of GIB performed. In that case the 4H raise was passed out. Perhaps we should take some encouragement from the latest version's decision to pull it to 4S. In fact 5S is a good save, even if the defence get their Diamond ruff.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq
