I was suprised at the level of disapproval of the 1H opening in the "solid hearts topic"

fwiw it was my partners hand, but I'm interested as to how people would open:

reminder of the situation: w/r at MP you're in third seat after two passes

Don't pay any attention to my vote for 2H. Matchpoints, IMPS, red, white, whatever. I leave clever to the other guys, and lawful raises to partner.

IMO 2 = 10, 3 = 9, 1 = 8, Psyche = 7, 4 = 6.

A bit strange that pass is not an option here
Opponents might get greedy and bid 3NT :D
Yes I'm joking but I don't see any one of the option is a clear winner.

This depends a lot on partner's tendencies. I've certainly played with people who wouldn't open Axxx xxx AKxx xx; i need to open 1 opposite this partner.

Also, partner might not make the law raise from 2 to 4 if 4th seat passes, though perhaps that's a good thing unless they have a club singleton.

1 looks tempting, but 3.

You'd quite like for partner to lead a heart.
