Well, according to the report received by the President of ASD in Ivrea
behalf of the Board of Directors (the incident occurred during a little tournment internal
no referee) and versions, only partly conflicting, made by the parties,
After some mutual expressions impatient on how developed a
bid, he lit a spat between the two accused, where -in fast
crescendo- the S... (evidently as a reaction to an expression not
consonant of C...) gave this the "pig", receiving in response
indicating the name of the female pig above.
To which the first losed the light of reason, rising from
chair and settling opponent (powerless to notice of intention,
he being a blind total) a powerful slap, that made him
flying goggles.
At this point the C... got up in turn and, twirling arms
toward contender -he says to defend himself, but exposed to advanced
beating with hands barrel blindly towards
of S... "- meant that the latter, drawing back, falling
against a radiator and injuring an arm (transported to the hospital, the
wound was sutured with 7 points).

Can someone who actually knows English and Italian produce a competent translation? Or was the point of posting this to show how amusing it is when we try to use Google Translate on bridge-related text?

Well I tried but it's hard :P The story is, if I understood correctly, that at some small tourney a pair got into a fight over some bid. One called the other a pig or some such. The other got pissed and slapped partner so hard that his glasses flew over. The glass-less guy then beat or pushed the other one kinda blindly (because he was almost blind) and pushed him into something. The pushed-over guy fell onto something and ended up in the hospital and needed 7 stitches. Then there's the committee decision which is pretty hilarious, but i really can't translate that well.

And this is EXACTLY what we need to make Bridge a spectator sport. Just add a penalty box.

I wonder what the thread title refers to. Is throwing partner into the fish bowl a more "natural" way of showing you disrespect for his bidding than refusing to raise his suit?
