This is a one off post, I had to do it.
I played in the A/X swiss at the Victoria Regional today, and got to have MikeH as my RHO. I feel like I have passed another bridge milestone.
There we were up against Mike's Team who has an overall points total of 32,800 where our team has a paltry 5931, including 2 talented young guys with 120 between them.
After the dust settled we lost by 7 so this is feeling like a victory to me.
I don't have hands to post, we only declared 2/8 hands and no HR's but there was one hand were I was very fortunate not to go for a big number after opening a weak nt, vulnerable.
I had to scramble after being doubled but lucky for me, Mike ended up in 3N. Perhaps I should not be playing weak NT in 1st seat, vulnerable against this class of opponents
I still have a lot to learn.
