Do you like your hand in light of pard's 1S bid? Weighed up 1N, 2♦ and 3♦ at the table - what's the textbook response?

2D.
You could sell me a 2S raise, if I had a 6 carder, but I have a 7 carder,
I will repeat my suit.
Why 1NT? Do you have a semi bal. hand?
3D will get you over bord, you will end up in a lot of hopeless 3NT
contracts.
If you have game, partner will bid again.
With kind regards
Marlowe

2♦ is the textbook rebid. You are not strong enough for 3♦, which shows a strong hand. You are not balanced, or even semi-balanced, which rules out 1NT.
2♠ with 3-card support and a singleton is not totally silly, but with 7 diamonds it is much better to rebid the diamond suit.

Agree with the comments on the OP.
Off beat but will inject a vote for a weak 2d opening assuming pard knows this range.
