Shouldn't GIB bid something other than 4 once he knows I have the ace of spades and 25+ hcp? My pass was stupid I guess but I am going to try to blame it all on the robots. :P
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

If there is a Ace or void in some side suit,Gib could know cuebid. However if there is K or singleton in some side suit without Ace/ void,Gib don't know cuebid.
Of course, this is also a defect of Gib.

Fair enough. So Gib only cuebids if he happens to have an ace in his 5-8 hcp? It seems like waste of bidding space.

Well it's just oldfashioned cuebidding style (first round controls only, second round controls cuebid only after having denied a first-round control).

GIB would raise to 4H with nothing. 3H shows something. You have a moose and need to move to slam.

I do need to move to slam (3H shows 5-8 hcp as I said) but do you agree with my main point that a hand with 5-8 hcp should not be constrained to only ever cue aces or voids?
