Bear with me since I have never asked a question in this forum before.
Have been at BBO for a few years and love it.
I always wondered when I move from one table to another why I don't end up seeing the same hand that I saw at a prior table.
There's probably an obvious answer that I am missing but would be curious about that.

It obviously has some mechanism. For example:
If your kibitzing a table and a seat opens up. If you sit in the seat that hand will end (because you've seen all hands) with no result and a new hand is dealt.

Every hand we generate is given a hand ID, and there's a database table that lists the IDs of all the hands you've played or watched as a kibitzer. When dealing new hands, it skips any that any of the players have seen before.
