Look at trick 9 - wondering what in the world causes GIB to NOT pop up with the Ace and leading a , especially after I overcalled.

It's the same double dummy no matter what GIB does at that point. Where it screwed up was in not popping with the HJ at trick 7.

No double dummy needed... North knows that any diamond trick(s) you have are not going away, so it doesn't matter... in that case, GIB always does whatever is most likely to annoy you.
