Garozzo is kind of old, so his preempts must be pretty solid, right?

I suppose 6 is a possibility but I'm just bidding 4, in case a couple of finesses don't work...

I'd bid 5.

If you control their suit go to 6. If you don't, stay here.

It's the only way to invite slam in spades, so it's a slam try. Period.
I hope that partner will realize that I likely have spade shortness. I admit he will not work out it's a void, so maybe that argues for bidding 4.

Not saying you are wrong, but just for completeness, would you mind saying what you think 5 and 4NT...5 are?

6h

If p cannot figure out I want them to bid 6s that's life. Inviting slam is just
too hit and miss and it might merely take a favorable opening lead from the
heart bidder vs the possible AK holding east hand. Sometimes practical is best
and anyone playing 6h as some kind of miraculous 7 level try please inform the
rest of us what it might be.

4s stay fixed

I'd bid 6

I gave West AKQ for his unfavourable preempt and decided we should be in pretty good shape with 24-26 points out of a 31 point deck. Turns out I was kinda wrong...

The other table went p-1-3-4-p-p-p.
