→BBO HELP: one more question ... i switched over to the web based version a few months back, but one thing that i find frustrating is that if i log on invisible, and chat with a friend, often their responses don't come to the chat screen but go to "mail". This makes the conversation a lot more work than on the old version. Is this a new behaviour? I've only noticed it in the last week
BBO HELP (Private): players that log in as invisible usually want to be online under the radar and not communicate with others
→BBO HELP: and is there any way around it?
BBO HELP (Private): no
→BBO HELP: it would seem that once i chat to them, the barrier could be lifted for that session ... i'm a retired software programmer, and i'm pretty sure that wouldn't be rocket science to accomplish
BBO HELP (Private): you could post this in the Forum Suggestions for the software
→BBO HELP: ok, will do

Another possibility might be to allow you to log on as (a) visible to all, (b) visible to hand-shaken friends, (c ) invisible.

For as long as we have the separation between friends and followers, that would seem to be a logical extension of service. But personally I think that going back to merged friends and followers is the way forward, a feeling that I think has some momentum, so this suggestion would then be a non-starter.
Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

Once the invisible contacted you, you can chat with him/her. But that does not work when using the "chat" line in the profile. That annoyingly creates a mail instead of chat and the text is gone. That could really be improved.

Thank you Scarletv for this information, I was not aware of the possibility to chat via the general chat line instead of sending a mail via the profile chat line. I have just tried it and it is still the same. This is a clear bug and should not be so difficult to repair.
