Anyone willing to invite their sweetheart to JEC on Valentine's Day? They're asking if we have a team.

I could play if anyone can stand playing with me.

System: don't care much Stuff: UDCA
How about 2/1:
  • 1 = or bal. 1 = 4+ shapely. 5-card Ms. Jacoby. Splinters. SF 1N. Gazzilli. Drury 2 and 2. 2-way check-back.
  • 15-17 no-trump. Stayman. 1N-2-2-3/3 = Smolen.
  • 5 transfers (2/2/2N/3 = 5+ ///. 2 = Limit raise or Baron.
  • Responses to 2N as to 1N (but 3 = Puppets 3N. and 2N-3-3-3/3 = Smolen).
  • System on whenever no-trump is the 1st nat bid by our side.
  • Strong 2. 2 = waiting. 2 response = 0-4. Others = good 6+ suit (2N = )
  • 3 weak-2s = Nat 5-9. Change of suit = F1. 2N = relay for features.
  • 3N opener = good M (then 4 asks opener to transfer to M. 4 = Slam try).
  • Doubles usually take-out. WJOs. Michaels. UNT. UCB. Over M overcall, 2N = Good raise. Single-jump = Fit.
  • Defence to 1N: 2=Ms. 2=6+M with Paradox responses. 2M = M + m. 2N = ms. Always 2N reply = F1.
  • 41/30 Kickback.
  • 3rd and 5th leads against suit contracts and in partner's suit. Otherwise 4th.
  • UDCA. Reverse Smith Peter (Either defender peters on declarer's leads to show dislike of opening-lead).

Add anything you like. Delete or change anything you don't like :)
If you get a better offer, I'm happy to step down :)

Sure. It will be quite amusing to see whether "41/30 Kickback" constitutes sufficient discussion (hi jillybean). Since I don't expect to win anyway, let's try it.

Two things I would like to delete:
1. "Drury 2 and 2". We can play simple reverse Drury (2 only) if it's really necessay.
2. "Strong 2 ... 2 response = 0-4." Prefer 2 always.

Hey, I've played in quite a few of these recently, feel free to have my spot if you want it.

Or we could do 14 each?
