The bidding somewhat suggest clubs are 2-2 and the D are 54 but its nowhere near enough to compensate for the restricted choice effect.

I assume 2C was artificial or 1NT could have 4S otherwise passing 1NT is poor.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.

This was what I decided too, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Unfortunately East did have QJ tight, 1NT-1 lost 5 IMPs against 2+2 at the other table.
