Chat not working

My chat box opens as usual at the bottom of the screen. However there is no line at the very bottom in which I can type a chat message. Also, the 2 small boxes in the lower right (one used to say Options, the other used to say Chat) are missing.
Please tell me how to fix this.

Sound like your windows start bar is covering the lower part of your BBO window. Double-click the blue bar at the top, that usually resizes the window and makes the chat line appear again.
