It would be nice if GIB would not suppress a major suit fit, especially at IMPs.

Is ok to suppress support with INV+ strength as ♠ may be better and finding a double fit useful for slam purposes. However, with 2nd bid Gib should let you in on the secret with a 3♥ bid.
